Furuno's new NX300 Paperless Navtex Receiver is a low-cost way of monitoring weather and navigation safety. The NX300 receives current and early-warning weather reports and navigation alerts worldwide, within a 200-400 n.m. range of shore. It displays messages on its high-contrast 4.5" LCD display, which means no maps or charts to read. If a print out is needed, you can print out the report via a personal computer. The NX300 also doubles as a NAV data repeater. Simply connect it to a GPS/DGPS navigator and it will become a repeater display, utilizing the same programmable NAV data display as the GP31/GP36 Navigators.
